Van Gogh is still news.

A recent research revealed that Vincent Van Gogh used to paint on unorthodox materials such as tablecloth, used paper and even cloth.

The artist used this strange materials because he could not afford new canvas.


It was also revealed that Van Gogh overpainted existing works.


All this tablecloth painting are from the period in which the painter was in the Saint-Paul Mental Asylum.


Some of this re-discovered paintings are, The Large Plane Trees, and Wheatfields in a Mountainous Landscape.


Thanks to x-ray some historians found out that a canvas had another painting under it.

By the year 1890 Van Gogh was living in Auvers-sur-Oisetime place in which he killed himself
